Do you have many batteries lying around to power your photographic gear and gadgets?
For a few years now I’ve been using traditional plastic battery cases to help store and organise my rechargeable batteries, whilst they have certainly helped (especially when travelling) they have never been the most ergonomic of items.
Enter: Storacell (PowerPax) Battery Management*; I discovered these great products and have found them to be very useful in storing and organising my sets of rechargeable batteries.
As with all batteries, but especially rechargeable batteries it’s important to use them in sets, it’s never a good idea to mix batteries with different charge levels and different types, so if you have a lot batteries keeping them organised is important. Missing an important shot due to a dead battery can be very frustrating!
Made from strong plastic the case design features individual sections for each battery which once inserted will remain in place, to dispense a battery simply push up the battery from the bottom and it will pop out. The great news is this can be done with one hand! The cases come in a range of different colours including orange, yellow and also a glow in the dark version, perfect for being able to quickly locate in your camera bag or luggage and for distinguishing between different sets of batteries (e.g. charged and empty). The cases also feature terminal protection on the bottom so that your batteries don’t accidentally discharge when stored together.
The cases come in a variety of designs for different battery types including both AA and AAA – The 4 x AA version is perfect for keeping a spare set of batteries for your DSLR Flash.
